Standing 190 m (620 ft) tall, the Kohn Pederson Fox designed commercial skyscraper comprises 38 storeys, and will houses European offices of insurance company W. R. Berkley Corporation, as well as other financial companies, a basement restaurant and a café.

Its characteristic sharp design has led to it being dubbed the ‘Scalpel’, a nickname that has now become the building’s official title. Like the neighbouring Leadenhall Building, The Scalpel leans to one side, preserving the view of St Paul’s Cathedral from Fleet Street.

Our involvement:

  • We were initially involved in the movement of TC3 to TC3A on a jump platform on the side of the building.
  • The project is on-going, and we’re currently involved in the climbing of TC1, 2 and 3.
